Sunny side up!

Here we go with the sunny side of the last weekend!

Having a mother who’s just one size above you (if not sometimes the same) can be a very good thing. It doesn’t only substitute the sister feelings I don’t have thanks to my single-child-state, it also means that I can nearly wear whatever I like out of her wardrobe without getting myself into a huge fight for “why wearing my stuff all the time” (something I already noticed in several cases – in fact, I could do a study about this).

My mother is hugely appreciating the way I style some of her pieces in a sometimes different way than she does. However, this time the outfit was completely inspired by her and could have been no better representation of a leisure look she would wear herself straight away.

(Note: We agree in many ways when it comes to dressing ourselves. Our paths sometimes just separate when it comes to ripped off jeans, cut out, glitzy, skull and sometimes rivet purfled stuff –  I love you for this ;)).

I got these  pair of “riding” trousers from her ages ago as a result of buying a second one and deciding that I should get this instead of keeping it herself.

Although I didn’t like them for a long time in an everyday-environment, I must admit that I totally admire this fit and the material. It’s that mixture of unexpected sporty look integrated in a normal outfit that Pamela Henson, designer of one of the most recognised fashionable riding trousers, created and established as a timeless companion in a woman’s wardrobe.

Together with that cardigan (whose pattern reminds me of a Giraffe meeting fried eggs (or: eggs sunny-side up!), I pulled a typical Saturday-doing-nothing-special-yet-want-to-leave-the-house look (if there is something, that is close to this description).

Yes. Sometimes it’s just the best thing having no sister but a mother who knows how to dress well. And a mother who keeps herself in shape. Thus shares the one or another piece with you.
