Sometimes, the best thing to do is to go back to some of your timeless classic pieces in your wardrobe, put them together and mix a little twist in there.
That’s what I did last weekend when I decided that the normal blue jeans can stay where they are and rather let my current Just Female obsession out. The contrast between that dark grey and the red hot suede friends is not even that harsh as I thought although I tried to avoid combining darker tones to the loafers in the past.
Topped with some of my all-time favourite chain necklaces and some other little golden details, I must say that this is probably one of the looks I mostly felt comfortable in.
As this post goes online, I just have to share my freak-out excitement as well: I’m finally done with my second year at uni. It may be nothing special to everyone else but with the workload I had to cope with for past few months (or let’s sum it up and say it was the whole freaking year!), this is pretty much the best thing that happened to me in a long time! ;)
For the past three weeks, there was nothing else in my head than imagining the moment I finally hand in my Media Law assignment and go back home to sleep for the first time in days… just to wake up and realize that nothing but my social networks, my favourite series, a missed call from my mum and some standard Whatsapp messages are waiting for me to be checked (instead of feeling totally guilty for taking a nap, getting myself together and continue writing another article/essay/whatever).
Lots of nerves, here and there some tears and countless all-nighters (37 hours of being awake in 3 cases have pushed new personal boundaries in behaving humanly no matter waht) were invested alongside beautifully developing dark circles under my eyes as a result. That probably explains why I still look tired in those pictures.
OH MY GOD, I can’t even tell how happy I am! 4 months of doing everything else but uni are awaiting me. Besides from the blog (there will be more regular posts again..promise to myself) and an internship, there will be nothing that I will engage my brain with; I will drown myself in common stupidity and live life as it should be. Good times ahead!
