All the British ladies, all the British ladies

All of them? No! But a selection of Britain’s well known leading ladies came together and stroke some poses for Marks & Spencer’s fall/winter 2013 campaign, which naturally had to be mentioned nearly everywhere I’ve clicked on during the past days.

Listen, it just had to be!

Collaborating and featuring top names of the industry, including Lily Cole and Rosie Huntington Whitely with an exclusive underwear collection (pfff no, I’m not going to share my thoughts on RHW now), the British department store has already foreshadowed an interesting path of their clothing section in the past.

But this here has possibly surprised me too much to not only notice it and move on but to put it up here and share my slight hunger to check those pieces out once they arrive in stores.

Not only that M&S has chosen icons Grace Coddington, Helen Mirren and Tracey Emin next to inspiring national leading lady figures, they also made sure that this campaign is not simply shot by somebody.

They really hit all of their nubs and got the unmistakable Annie Leibovitz to shoot the British icons.

Tell me, is there anything better than having great, inspiring women, interesting clothing on a certain budget and a great photographer coming together?! I don’t think so.

Let’s hope that brilliant campaign justifies the retailer’s much promising collection!
