There’s something about German fashion magazines that just strikes me every time. It’s probably the preference of using real models for their covers instead of celebrities month in, month out (although the recent Miley cover really wasn’t my thing).

Even if this picture was shot 3 years ago by the amazing Mert & Marcus and originally used by Vogue US in 2011 for their editorial, I guess it’s the beauty of the picture gone cover itself which counts in first place.

For April, German Elle decided to take Daria, the natural goddess per se, out of that editorial and put her on their cover, leaving me with nothing less than a simple “I like that! I really like that!”.

Name me another month to take pure red as an appropriate key player and make a floral statement (doesn’t the hem somewhat appear like a rose?) without overdoing it (because we all know “Florals? For Spring? Groundreaking”).

Then again, I suppose that Valentino is just a classic; never too much if you take it as the one and only statement piece (regardless whether it’s an accessory or a dress like it’s the case here).

Have a nice weekend!
