… was this year’s topic for the fall/winter collection of Roos van der Kamp, the winner of the second Dutch Project Runway. And I couldn’t be more surprised about my own discovered interest for futuristic details, as they were boldly represented in that show. Here, I emphasize interest in such details and not love. Still too alternative the zipper-shirt-like something, the shrill blue coloured skirt in combination to a more simple, beige blouse – to me the pieces don’t seem structured enough, not classy, not in harmony to each other but then on the other hand not easy to put into a drawer. Maybe it’s exactly that fact, which makes Roparosa the winner of the Dutch version of the  original American designer-searching show. But I’m not sure how Van der Kamp will make his way through other runways. Perhaps it’s enough for Berlin Fashionweek (nothing against my beloved German Fashionweek, but it’s more about being alternative than being breathtaking – a typical German phenomenon) but personally I’m still a little unsure whether I would buy a piece and actually wear it. The idea and cut of the skirt you see in picture 2 seems so Burberry SS10-like, which on the on hand meets my taste but then the colour may be critical to many skin/hair-types and finally the whole compilation of the black zipper-top with the transparent V-detail and the more than questioning hair-do lets me think of the perfect neo-punk-alternative-astronaut-chick  than of a perfect fall/winter-outfit. 

However, I still find the shoulder-stressed detail in picture one cool to look at and also the bangles and necklaces seem pretentious.

A collection, which caught my interest and still doesn’t convince me.
