I received one of the sweetest surprises when finding out that I will spend my weekend in Paris (including today).
I haven’t been here in ages and that for a reason. I always found it hard to love this city as much as everyone else does. Not only because it appears to be the ultimate hype of a (in fact) kind of dingy-dirty city (and I still have the same thoughts on that issue), it also seemed to me by far not as attractive as Milan or London would have been.
And guess what. I entered this city’s heart and slowly started liking it. The architecture is still (and honestly) breathtaking (reminds me partially of my hometown Vienna) and the food is good (if not as easy to find as it appears to be the case in my other favourite spots in Europe).
First night’s out was spent at L’Avenue (Avenue Montaigne) at which I strongly recommend one of the steaks together with some mashed potatoes (or fries… but I wasn’t into fries, so I went for the best mashed potatoes in a long time). I chose the thai beef styled sirloin (how could it have been different!?), which was in perfect consistence and went really good with my side order.
The selection of starters is amazing (their tartar is supernice) and the desserts are fine (if you go there, take the hot chocolate cake… – I lost my mind already when getting this, so no photo was made but I promise: It is worth each single calorie).
Efficient service and this deliciousness result in an absolutely acceptable price performance ratio, that made me want to go there for the second night as well! ;)
A very cool crowd of Parisian youngsters (who seemed to be all well dressed and inspiring to me) and a more mature public. Exactly what I like when it comes to a comfortable mixture of different generations.
For this night, I chose a red dress I haven’t worn that often together with some simple black heels and a light summer coat which was the perfect choice as it was a little chilly.
Coat: Zara
Dress: Zara
Bag: Chanel

I successfully forgot the cam in the car (+ runnning around with a huge reflex cam looks weird anyways), so all the following pics were taken with my phone.
