…and here we go with the last day spent in Paris.
Nothing really happened that day. I tried to enjoy the very last moments, got myself some nice things and remembered how much I hate to pack (and unpack at home) all the stuff.
I wanted to keep it as simple as possible with this outfit and just added that statement necklace to enrich everything a little more.
As I knew that there won’t be enough time to reflect on this trip in relation to my Do-I-like-Paris question (because whether I liked this trip is out of question!), I tried to do this in these few moments.
To be honest: Yes, Paris is fine. Most of the people are really nice and helpful, the architecture and different buildings (as I said) is/are great and the food is also good.
As long as I keep myself away from the Laduree macarons (and I found out that I like the passionfruit and chocolate version from Pierre Hermé exceptionally) and as long as I don’t overeat myself with all of these nasty but way too good looking little cakes (where Laduree is definitely unbeatable) and pains au chocolats and croissants, I guess I could survive. ;)
Let’s face it: I haven’t spent enough time to talk about this city any further than that relatively weird impressions I got in the past and that very positive one during the last days.
That kind of Paris I was able to experience over the weekend was simply different in many ways and I promised myself to not only reserve some tickets for the castle in Versailles in advance (as you read in my last post here) but also to spend more time to engage myself a little further to the so-called charme of this city the next time I’m visiting.
I think that’s one of the most important things: Being able to feel the vibe of such a metropolis and trying to negotiate from what you see as a tourist (with all the general must-do programme) and what you are able to discover as someone who wants to get “more” than just the different places and spaces of such a city.
I’ll be back. That’s for sure! :) Until then: Au re-voir, Paris!
