Second half of day 1 … and we spent it at the Emirates Mall!
After enjoying the beach, we decided to visit one of the famous malls and one of the first thoughts was the Emirates Mall.
Huge and full of different designers and highstreet stores (Kate Spade store made my heart go wild), the mall was so cooled down that I regret forgetting my pullover.
To top my cold feeling, I (of course) had to take a little break at Pinkberry before looking at the world famous skiing hall I just barely imagined before seeing it.
Between full surprise and some kind of grotesque feeling inside, I watched these people going crazy about the unreal snow and all the different winter activities. :D
As much as I was aware of this fact before it meanwhile still seemed unimagineable that some people never saw any real snow. But thanks to the restaurant with the original name “St. Moritz”, located next to the hall, I guess that it’s easier to beam yourself to Winter Wonderland (even some screen fireplaces are installed). How cosy. ;)
I always found it quite nice to visit such malls when being in the US or Asia but to be honest: The excitement also stayed in lines this time. It always (no matter where you are) seems like a big playground and although I like the idea of having everything at “one” (big) place, it’s still not the same than walking down the streets and having this feeling of “going your own” way.
But maybe it’s just me having this weird shopping behaviour.
Nevertheless, the Dubai Mall is still on my list. Of course I can’t leave this out!
Stay tuned for more!
