One of the things I always wanted to do? Visiting Versailles!
With all its (very important) history and the different meanings, I was thrilled to see the chateau and the so-called breathtaking garden myself!
And how I was impressed. Unfortunately, we arrived “a little” late and there couldn’t have been any worse day than choosing a cloudy Sunday in the middle of holidays to go there.
However, we took the time to watch it from the outside and walk through Marie Antoinette’s former garden (no wonder this icon slightly lost the ground .. who can blame her?! – Look at me at the top ;))
The fact that it was Sunday wasn’t the only thing making it hard for us to stay for longer than 2 hours. The wind was crazy and as you can probably see at my nose – I was cold! I started freezing so hard thus I started being a little bitch after a while, which let us leave after spending half of the afternoon (which I found enough anyways).
I promised myself to get some deeper impressions and inform myself better next time (alternatively: start thinking before doing – something I’d recommend to everyone).
Yet, I really enjoyed the time… and as you can see: We always find a solution for some pictures :)
