Fly me to the moon

I didn’t book a flight to the moon (sometimes I wish I could just to leave the world behind) but as I’m a secret but true Frank Sinatra fan, I just can’t stop listening to his best songs at the moment.
Mayfair is definitely one of London’s most beautiful parts and I’m always enjoying my time over there when I feel like seeing some people who actually tend to dress like my dad (class meets typical English prep style) and looking for the absolute roots of my inspirations. Sometimes it’s the best feeling I could get when I just wander around to have a look at the finest stores (to discover that Vera Wang does the greatest wedding gowns and that I will end up like my parents with a secret passion for buying outstanding art some day). It might sound very, very, very shallow to say so but people in that quarter appear to dress themselves a little different from the rest of the city. Not that I don’t love the wild mix London is bringing with it in its fashionable way but the kind of inspiration I often experienced when being around Mayfair is always bringing back some homely feelings. I just adore the way men dress up in their classic “uniforms”. That’s probably the most English spirit one can get when walking down Mount Street, which is filled with beautiful cafes and interesting galleries (and the Louboustore, where I just recently purchased the most amazing loafers this world has seen).
Inspired by Mayfair’s appearance and my post about Gucci’s Forever Now campaign featuring Charlotte Casiraghi, I couldn’t decide between some flats or my overknees. That’s why I chose both.
Sometimes, I just forget about my faible for studs and all that kind of glitzy skull-trash and go for a superlative outcome of my inspiration’s base: Timeless chic.
