Not exactly London Fashion Week’s day 1 but actually my very first day spent at Somerset House during this amazing time in the city.
So many different, inspiring and simply crazy people on a relative “small” spot (the whole inner courtyard & the hugest terrace of Somerset House) were literally overwhelming and somehow a little overstraining. I loved the atmosphere, the hectic rush but at the same time just looking around and seeing how different people from various countries and ethnicities mix up their lifestyles with fashion. Surely (and how could it be different for London’s fashion week?!) there were loads and loads of celebrities and as I tried my best in spotting them before everybody else did (which was impossible), I just got one usable picture of Alexa Chung. I just love the way she combined her simply cut dress to these lace tights.
For this day I chose something more understatement, yet tried to cool it up with a black on black combination. Together with the golden zipper details, I tried to keep the balance between the classy jacket and the leather look alike trousers. They somehow throw in a casual and cool twist to the more elegant and chic jacket and the rather soft lace top.
Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to stay for longer than1 1/2 hours but I’m just about to rush off to my second (LFW’s 4th) day over there and will promise to share the outfit I chose for it today (be prepared for a lot of colours… which you just rarely saw on me before).
(and don’t think the weather was that warm over here… it’s actually FREEZING and I wait to pay the prize for it.. again).
