Just like expected, the second day at Pure London was simply packed with even more people. Although and due to some heavy delays (London Underground, you are a simple mess. I don’t know how you guys will cope with this during the Olympics), I was still able to attend Antonia O’Brian’s forecast about shoe trends in 2012/2013. Quite honestly, there was nothing pretty much new to me but as O’Brian is a common stylist and commentator, it was just interesting listening to her perspective of what is expected to go on in shoes’ world for the upcoming fall/winter.
Again, I met interesting and got to know amazing and above all unique brands .. which I could have a captured a lot more IF my camera didn’t decide to switch off because of low battery. That NEVER ever happened to me before during such important moments and I was more than embarrassed to discover that this little nature, called stupidity, even creeps in myself sometimes (at least it creeps in “sometimes” when I’m aware of it). So that maybe explains the dimly, bad resolution of some pictures (much to my disadvantage as I focused a lot more on accessories and shoes this time..oh well, you can’t have everything).
Overall, Pure was totally worth it and I will definitely make sure to attend the next one as well. Posts about specific brands will follow the upcoming days (just repeating myself to those of you who were too lazy to read my other, a little bulkier review of my first day.
For the first day at Pure, I felt like going for something straight, yet low keyed and still serious. I didn’t want to appear in a total strict business look, so I decided to mix these clear cuts and blank shades with a more casual material found in my leggings. I considered accessories to be generally wrong if not used with total carefulness, so my beloved old necklace (once in possession of my mum… now somehow belonging to me) brought in an enriching but clear element. Lips and nails in a flashy red tone to make it a little fresher … there you go, outfit number 1.
Blazer: Zara
Top: H&M
Leggings: Zara
Necklace: Agatha (…quite old from my mum)
High heeled overknees: Vero Cuoio
Leo wedges and leather strap details – House of Harlow by Nicole Richie
Preppy chic meets unexpected heel – typically United Nude
Lace… again. Monochrome colours working with a lot of patterns, materials and day to evening wear. Just love it.
United Nude again… loving them for a year now.
