London Fashion Week AW 13: Day 2

IMG_8151

So this was day 2 and for an unknown reason I felt absolutely shattered when making my way to the tent again.

The party thrown by Felder Felder hasn’t seen Rachel and me for too long and the only drink I’ve been having was some average prosecco mixed up with a way too sweet berry consistence at one of the bars at Sketch (berry bellini for the poor!?).

Nevertheless, there was no way for me not to turn up and so I was kicked out of bed and found myself with unacceptable dark circles under my eyes in the entrance of this free catwalk place.

I was literally thinking nothing when entering but regrets were high when the first people asking me for a picture didn’t tell me to put my sunglasses on. I don’t even want to look at the pictures again and I’ve been greatfully deleting them from this blog (at least  you won’t be spoiled with proper ugliness over here).

As for my outfit, I can tell that I was in the mood for some leisure stuff mixed up with a little catchy piece (definitely this leo print thing). To avoid making it look too fine for the showroom visits and “hanging around”, I decided to pair the coat up with the distressed denim and an easy beanie.

I thought I’m going to be over with beanies after day 1; seriously, EVERYONE is having a beanie and if you’re not having one, you’re obviously missing majorly out on that ridiculously funny trend of a penis-hat from the 90s ghettos.

But no, I decided that I’m a little cool kid and throw it over. Not that I was sweating like hell when arriving (hey, did you recognise that I’ve been wearing these heels for the whole day? Destroyed my feet & is called proper sports!), I was also happy to have that thick turtleneck with me (it started freezing at some point).

Other than that, I spotted the incomparable Suzy Menkes and I couldn’t believe it but: The man behind the cam somehow took several pictures after asking for it and DELETED them afterwards accidentally. I was close to crying (yes, hysteria and hormones are a bad mix) when finding out but at least I saw her and stood only one meter away from her (something I don’t think to be happen in near future time again). I’m still impressed how important people who really matter to this industry (just like Ms. Menkes) can be so kind although they seem beyond busy and yet some others who you don’t even know by face are the most impatient ones.

Whatever I will be later on in life, I really do hope that I will never be that underbred to others no matter what.
